FAQ

Q: Can the fan be supplied for an existing duct system?

A: Yes. Existing duct and installation information can be incorporated into the fan configuration. GA drawings can be provided for dimensional and connection review before production.

Q: Can the fan be supplied with the required inlet and outlet connections?

A: Yes. Available accessories include inlet and outlet flexible connectors and companion flanges, allowing the fan configuration to be coordinated with the connected ductwork.

Q: Can the fan be configured for different motor standards?

A: Yes. The original specification lists motor compatibility with IEC, NEMA, ATEX, and UL hazardous-location requirements. The required motor standard should be specified with the project electrical requirements.

Q: Can the fan be supplied with project-specific inspection or NDT requirements?

A: Yes. Dye penetrant testing is available upon request, in addition to the standard fabrication and rotating-assembly inspection processes. Project-specific inspection requirements can be identified during quotation.

Q: What should be provided when replacing an existing fan?

A: For a replacement quotation, useful information includes the existing fan model, motor nameplate, airflow and pressure data, installation dimensions, connection dimensions, and available GA drawings. If the original fan data is incomplete, existing drawings and nameplate information can still be used as a starting point.

Q: Can you provide documentation before production?

A: Yes. GA drawings and wiring diagrams are available for project review, while test and material documentation can be supplied as part of the completed fan documentation package.

Q: Can spare parts be supplied with the fan?

A: Yes. Spare-parts documentation and O&M manuals are available as part of the documentation package, allowing the required maintenance items to be identified for the supplied configuration.
